We didn't sleep well that night either. I'm looking forward to my first coffee again from the Rocket coffee machine and a porcelain cup. After 7 months, I no longer have a routine and I really have to think about how it works. It tastes funny. We are disappointed. Later I realize that it's the beans. Even though Ben had taken his beans from the Mazzer grinder, there was probably still a small amount of beans at the bottom, the age of which is, shall we say, indeterminate. The Rocket looked like it hadn't been used for a long, long time. The next coffee will taste much better, then again with Ehrenfeld coffee beans from Van Dyck.

With my strength up, I start to clear out the van, at least the food and my clothes. The apartment quickly becomes a mess that needs to be cleared out.

In the afternoon, the boys come to the handover, at a distance of course. It's a nice, fun round and the boys take a few more things they can use. The house clearance begins.

Afterwards I wander around the apartment, quite chaotically, I don't really know where to start. There's so much, I don't know exactly where to start. I start everything and don't finish anything. I feel like I'm looking for 1000 things and can't find anything. I'm tired and stressed, I need to go for a jog along the Rhine. I quickly find my clothes, get into my shoes and out of the front door and head for the Rhine. It's cold. Not to say freezing cold. Nevertheless, I'm happy. Running has always made me happy and especially on the Rhine. I only run a short loop around the Rheinauhafen, which is about 4 km, but I don't want to overdo it, after all, I haven't run for 7 months and I'm not 18 anymore. Back at home, I feel much better and I'm hungry. Today I'm having vegetables with rice. Put the oil and garlic in the pan, shortly afterwards the basmati rice, stir well, add the stock and bay leaf and leave to simmer. Meanwhile, sauté the onion, garlic, ginger and red curry paste, add various vegetables, season and deglaze with coconut milk. Sprinkle with peanuts and my favorite meal is ready. Even Marc likes it, even though it's meat-free. And bang - happy. Afterwards, I make a few phone calls and then my eyes fall shut. I'm no longer used to Cologne and its fast pace.

Marc: Tattletale, have tried only one spoon. - Fasting because just a little.
