Paint sealants:

After the Pixeltarn project, which Film center NRW was completed, the last question we were asked was how often BUTCH was washed. They didn't seem entirely satisfied with our answer "when crossing rivers" or "rainwash only". We were therefore advised to apply a long-term glass-ceramic seal to the film. This should provide additional protection for the film. The scratch resistance we mentioned is also supposed to improve. On request, I received the following recommendation Glossy work in Bornheim.

Ceramic sealing:

Paint sealants have been around for years. After nano and polymer sealing, now ceramic sealing or coating. The vehicle surfaces are cleaned with a special cleaner. In any case, everything looked very clean. This and all other work steps are carried out by hand. Once the surfaces had been cleaned accordingly, the actual coating was applied after a drying process. - According to Glanzwerk, the ceramic coating not only achieves a similar effect to nano-sealing. - This means that the paint or film surface is more resistant to dirt adhesion. Rain and dirty water roll off the surface.

This was clearly visible. But there is also said to be another advantage over the nano-coating. According to the manufacturer, the ceramic coating penetrates the molecular structure of the paint or film and forms an additional layer on the surface. This should provide better protection against paint damage such as scratches or stone chips. So much for the advertising claim. The ceramic sealant from Glanzwerk is a high-end product that is not available to private consumers. A service life of approx. 3 to 5 years is guaranteed. For all laymen like me, the service life of a sealant is the period of time during which the protective effect is maintained. In practical use, this should certainly be less. With our good care, Rainwash only, I'm assuming two years. - We are curious!

A small test in Fursten Forest is planned for the coming weekend. I can't wait to see how the mud rolls off.

Advantage | Benefit:

PS: Glanzwerk also promises the following advantages over normal sealing:

- Maximum deep gloss (also possible in matt, as requested by us)

- Scratch resistance increased to approx. 9H

- Perfect beading behavior of dirt and water (we can confirm this for now)

- Extremely long service life -

- Layer structure from 2 to 3 μ

We'll see whether the whole thing lives up to its promise. But I can already say one thing. The guys are quick and uncomplicated. The usual lead time is about four to six weeks. However, when I reported that we were going on a European tour, they found a solution. BUTCH was squeezed in at the weekend. Surely something that only works in exceptional cases. Thank you for this uncomplicated solution.
