The sun is shining this morning. - But already for the noon hours rain is announced. - So we have to stow everything dry. - As a reward, we treat ourselves to a short ride on the bikes. - We decide to explore the adjacent, overgrown vacation resort, which Torgit discovered the day before. And really, it's a little spooky. - Especially a small playground, which between the houses in decay, still seems strangely intact. The swing moves a little squeaky in the wind. - On one side a beautiful area, the rugged landscape, the sun on the cliffs and then the dilapidated houses. Where even the grasses on roofs and in gutters are almost beautiful. - But one thing always works: the sports park located in the middle of these ruins, including a soccer field, as well as two tennis courts is used. It's nice to see that there is life here after all.

But the church fits into the picture again. - Whether preaching was ever done here?

"I still believe in God, but God no longer believes in me" - Mission

We better get going again, so that we can start before the rain. Since in the next few days no better weather is in prospect, we want to continue south.

But there is still a small stopover planned at the Iglesia de Santa Maria de Luanco.

The church stands directly on the sea, in a village of fishermen and sailors, lets you literally feel the delicate relationship of the people to the sea. - The church with its masonry of quarry stone, corners of sandstone, a roof of red clay tile, the weathered wood, but especially the perimeter portico, seems to offer protection from nature.

The whole structure could also stand like this in Tuscany. - But here at the sea it has a completely different effect. - While I look at the sea, I realize how often people must have pleaded here. Praying to the Lord God that the sea will let your loved ones come home. Surely there are few who have not given away loved ones to the sea. Next to the altar hangs a picture depicting the church and the sea in a storm-lashed night. As beautiful as the picture is, one can clearly feel what more sea can also mean.

Whether faith is a source of comfort is something everyone must decide for themselves, but it certainly can't do any harm. - At least not in the dialogue with God. - What others do in God's name is another matter. - Everything is a question of the ground personnel" would say Torgit.

But "Five minutes of enlightenment 1, - €" we think but exaggerated.

Finally, the stairway to the tower catches our eye. While I in Croatia and in Mont-Saint-Michel in the allegedly narrowest alleys in the world, threatened to get stuck, it is here rather the height. It's time to get some fresh air.

Outside it has started to rain. But the weather is not only gray in gray, but fog is moving in. We therefore decide to use the highway. The pilgrims and cyclists are not allowed on the track is aware of everyone. But here also the farmer, no matter whether on tractor or his horse team gets a rebuff. - Sharky takes it with humor and shows the rain teeth.

Our destination today is the campsite Los Manzanos, in the Rúa Maceiras, 15179 Oleiros. As soon as we arrive in town, we come across a monument to Che Guevara, and the street is also named after him. - Later we learn that the councilman of Oleiros is an old revolutionary. It has dedicated squares, avenues and streets to various communist figures such as Che Guevara, Enrique Lister, Karl Marx and Santiago Carrillo. Pictures of Che Guevara hang on the walls of the City Hall. In this sense, "Let's be realistic, let's try the impossible."

At the end of our tour today, we have now arrived in Galicia, Galicia. At first we were a little skeptical about the choice of our place, it is not located by the sea. But as we turn into the park, we know it is no coincidence that we are here. We belong here! As soon as the carpet is under the table, we are at home. Our evening ends with a hearty snack. This is the advantage of being at the western tip of Spain. The sun sets late.

But when it goes down, it also gets rapidly cooler. We batten down the hatches, fire up the auxiliary heating and just read for a while.

Insight of the day: Faith in God and faith in the Church are not the same.
