Children's visit in the camper van, including Lego helicopter

Today is a very special and at the same time an absolutely unspectacular day for us. - But we only notice the former towards the evening.

We also wake up later than usual today. This is probably because we both slept fitfully due to the strong wind. Coffee helps, but that's relatively normal. So does the fact that we have muesli for breakfast. So far, everything is normal. - We're sitting in the van writing a bit of the previous day's blog when Isa and Hugo come by. This morning, the two of them have already built the Lego police helicopter that I started with them yesterday. - This helicopter has slight modifications that are rather unusual for a police helicopter. - For example, the helicopter has rockets and Chewbacca, nicknamed "Chewie" from Star Wars, is on board. - At some point, we sit in the van with the two of them singing. In this context, we learn that Pippi Longstocking is called Pippi Langkous in Dutch, otherwise everything is understandable, at least if you understand a bit of Low German: "Ik heb een huis, een kakelbont geval, Een aapje en een paard ,Gebruiken het gewoon als stal" 😉

Later, we go to the beach and really and truly do nothing. - We just look at the sea. - A quiet day.

It's not until the evening that we realize what makes today so special. - Is it the fact that we've been on tour for ½ a year today, that we're becoming more and more part of the wagon people? No, it's not that. - It's simply the fact that it has become normal for us. This life is our everyday life, the everyday life of a gypsy family. - Slaapt lekker.
