Facebook reminds me once again of what I did a year ago. - I now love this reminder function. Looking at the before and after pictures of this excellent whisky tasting brings back blissful, if a little blurry, impressions. - Yes, it's true that alcohol and nicotine are our strongest enemies - but doesn't the Bible say that you should love your enemies? - But today I prefer to think of my friends. Lotte, Rolf, thank you very much for this wonderful evening.

Vom heutigen Tage, gibt es ansonsten nicht viel spannendes zu berichten. Nachdem ich bei der Physiotherapie war, um meine Schulter einrenken zu lassen, wurde es ein wenig hektisch. (Anm. von Torgit: Naja, eigentlich war Marcs Schulter nicht ausgerenkt, sondern nur die Muskulatur verspannt. Aber Ihr wisst ja wie das mit dem Männerschnupfen ist, der endet meist tödlich 😉 )

Regardless of whether you are in town for a short or long time, there are certain visits to make. These include parents and good friends. Balancing this with the necessary office work, visits to the doctor and garage, repairing the MacBook and iPad... It quickly turns into stress. The morning visit to Globetrotter was the most exciting part. We had to get an extra chair and a coated pan. The visit was quick and effective.

The visit to VAN DYCK, our favorite coffee roastery, is almost as short. - Here we get the good Ehrenfelder. It will carry us through the next eight weeks. Unfortunately, time is so limited today that I don't even have time for a coffee to go.

Zu Hause war dann die Herausforderung, die Neuerwerbung so zu verpacken, dass die diversen Packvorschriften der Airline eingehalten werden. Dann noch „kurz“ sämtliche Programme updaten, wobei bei kurz ein gewisser Unterton gerechtfertigt wäre. Müllentsorgung und so weiter. – Wenn ich den Berg an Müll und Pappe sehe, den ich hierbei hinterlasse, wird mir übel. – Liebes Amazon, warum müssen Kleinigkeiten in solch großen Kartons verpackt werden? (Anm. von Torgit: Liebe Amazon-Kritiker und liebe kleine Einzelhändler, ich bin absolut bei Euch. Aber wir mussten in so kurzer Zeit so viele Dinge besorgen, das hätte ohne Amazon leider nicht funktioniert)

In the evening, our neighbors Leo and Willi drop by for a drink. - We report on our tour. It turns out to be a reasonably relaxed evening after all.

I'm looking forward to getting back on the plane tomorrow and heading home. Yes, Hector has become our home. I'm curious to see if I'll miss anything.
