"The true art of living is to see the miraculous in the ordinary."

- Pearl S. Buck

Facebook reminds me once again of what I did a year ago. - I now love this reminder function. Looking at the before and after pictures of this excellent whisky tasting brings back blissful, if a little blurry, impressions. - Yes, it's true that alcohol and nicotine are our strongest enemies - but doesn't the Bible say that you should love your enemies? - But today I prefer to think of my friends. Lotte, Rolf, thank you very much for this wonderful evening.

There's not much else exciting to report from today. After I went to physiotherapy to have my shoulder set, things got a bit hectic. (Note from Torgit: Well, Marc's shoulder wasn't actually dislocated, just the muscles were tense. But you know how it is with men's colds, they usually end fatally 😉 )

Regardless of whether you are in town for a short or long time, there are certain visits to make. These include parents and good friends. Balancing this with the necessary office work, visits to the doctor and garage, repairing the MacBook and iPad... It quickly turns into stress. The morning visit to Globetrotter was the most exciting part. We had to get an extra chair and a coated pan. The visit was quick and effective.

The visit to VAN DYCK, our favorite coffee roastery, is almost as short. - Here we get the good Ehrenfelder. It will carry us through the next eight weeks. Unfortunately, time is so limited today that I don't even have time for a coffee to go.

At home, the challenge was then to pack the new acquisition in such a way that the airline's various packing instructions were adhered to. Then "briefly" updating all the programs, although briefly would justify a certain undertone. Waste disposal and so on. - When I see the mountain of garbage and cardboard that I leave behind, I feel sick. - Dear Amazon, why do small items have to be packed in such large boxes? (Note from Torgit: Dear Amazon critics and small retailers, I'm absolutely with you. But we had to get so many things in such a short time, unfortunately it wouldn't have worked without Amazon)

In the evening, our neighbors Leo and Willi drop by for a drink. - We report on our tour. It turns out to be a reasonably relaxed evening after all.

I'm looking forward to getting back on the plane tomorrow and heading home. Yes, Hector has become our home. I'm curious to see if I'll miss anything.
