The sun finally wakes us up again today. Simply beautiful! We pack everything up, have another coffee and set off. We don't have a specific destination. Tomorrow we want to meet a friend in Sintra. But for today, we just want to head south along the coast.

About 15 km south of Peniche and 65 km north of Lisbon, we come to the Praia da Areia Branca, or white sandy beach. We want to take a closer look. We can park the van right on the beach. The perfect time for breakfast: today we have fruit and muesli. Then a walk along the beach. As I write these lines, I'm looking right at the white sandy beach. The place name didn't promise too much. So we enjoy the view of the sea.

We don't set off until around four o'clock to look for a place to spend the night. We find one about ½ hour later at Praia dos Coxos. This beach is obviously popular with surfers, who are attracted by the lively surf. The surfers are on the waves until sunset. Meanwhile, we enjoy the view from the cliff.

Then the beach suddenly thins out. Shortly afterwards, there are only two lonely vans left on the cliff. Apart from us, only 24-year-old Tim from Bielefeld is still there. As he was one of the last to get out of the cold water, he is delighted with the "Serbian bean soup a la Coxos" we offer him. - It's a strange feeling, the sea and us are only a few meters apart on the steep cliff. The surf beats violently against the cliff. We're sure to get a good night's sleep.
