Day No. 12 - Say goodbye

We enjoy the last day of our vacation still full of relaxation. Tomorrow we want to start the way home. We swim and paddle the whole day. In between we enjoy the sun a little. But the sun is getting closer to the horizon than on the days before. We decide to drink another bottle of wine and to light the last cigar. So we sit on the beach until well after sunset and enjoy the balmy night. 

Conclusion: We liked Croatia very much. We will come again, only the when and how we leave open. The next day we start early. This time we choose the direct tour in the direction of Austria. We get through much better than expected. In Austria we have a small unintentional stopover. At a tollbooth we drive through with a matter of course, we have a Go Box. Unfortunately we forgot that this is valid in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, but not in Austria. After a short discussion we are allowed to drive. Apparently a strong assertion is more valid here than a weak truth. Only later do I realize my mistake. - Luck had!

Towards evening, the question arises whether we should leave the train again or pull through. - The prospect of the cozy bed and a refreshing shower lets us continue. Torgit and I take turns, we are a team. Late at night we arrive in Cologne. The homeland has us again. At least for a short time. Because in a few weeks our 315 degree tour should start. 

From Cologne 315 degrees to the coast and then always south. But first we are in Cologne on the Rhine. 

But we have brought something with us. A thistle branch shall accompany us in the coming months with Hector and a few experiences. We will improve our equipment a little bit in the coming days. But more about that in our packing list. See you soon!
