While our neighbor from Radio Beach Bum* is still sleeping in, the rising sun is already driving me to the beach: it's still pretty fresh in the morning. But the solitude rewards getting up early. This gives me the opportunity to practice more take-off attempts with the drone. And lo and behold, it works much better.

Surely Torgit is using the time to make himself comfortable in the van? - But when I arrive at the Hector, frozen through, it already smells of fresh coffee. - I would like to mention my top-quality Bialetti milk frother once again. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friend Micha for this valuable tip. I didn't realize how valuable frothed milk can be on the go. The Rocket always did it "at home". But now Hector is our home. Some things are different, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're worse. On the contrary, I appreciate little things much more on the road. - Which fits in with my current book. After several years, I've started reading Alexander von Schönburg's book "Die Kunst des stilvollen Verarmens" again. It contains a few interesting tips on the subject of happiness. I particularly like the theory that happiness and restrictions are compatible. Especially as the author doesn't try to sell asceticism as bringing happiness. But what enables Von und Zu to philosophize about impoverishment in passing to the brother of Countess von Thurn und Taxis? - Perhaps the fact that his family, with the exception of his well-known sister, has several hundred years of experience in impoverishment. - Anyone who reads the book will recognize his aptitude in this regard. - "The art of renunciation is the real prerequisite for enjoyment" - platitudinous but understandable, the best Wagyu steak does not excite even if it is served every day.

But now I have to take a closer look at the Peugeot J7 Camper of our "neighbor". Weird guy with a very, very cool car. RadioBeachBum is a disco on wheels. Motto: "WE ARE BURNING RUBBER" - driver, DJ and promoter and owner is a creative who earns his money with https://thegreensurfer.com/ and runs RadioBeachBum as a leisure project. What's particularly quirky is that the old J7, like an old propaganda vehicle, broadcasts its lyrics as soon as the ignition is switched on. Here in France, it's old chansons for a start. You can tell that someone is passionate about what they do. The way he describes his projects, as a mixture of work, joy and happiness, is inspiring. - When asked why he runs his project the way he does, he describes his work as that of a surfer. It's not about wearing Billabong & Co. but simply going surfing, spending time on the ocean, riding the wave: "Lost time is not lost".

As I write these lines, Torgit is taking a picture of me. A blog can also be written in a relaxed way. - Today we take our time. An extended breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, various nuts, healthy and delicious is the order of the day.

Then a chat with the neighbors, lots of surfers here. Tip from the neighbor: "I used to think it was about travelling, now I know it's about arriving". - Torgit and I haven't got that far yet.

Then it's back to the beach. It has now warmed up. The beach, which was narrow in the morning due to the high tide, is now wide and long. Where there was still a cliff at Morges, you can now walk for miles. As we walk along the beach, we let our thoughts drift and discuss new ideas. Finally, a dip in the waves. You have to like the temperature, then it's great.

Camping Plage De Goulien is highly recommended for one or more days of peace and quiet. We quickly realize that most of the neighbouring campers are repeat offenders. In the evening we have a barbecue and then many head back to the beach. Sun down. We enjoyed this day of peace and quiet.

Insight of the day: It is the moments of calm that promote creativity.

Of course, you can put it in a more complicated way, like the journalist Andreas Egert, for example: "Creativity : requires, apart from the unword status of the zeitgeist, an arrogant untimeliness of unproductivity."
