Today is Friday the 13th - Should that have given us food for thought? I say no. This morning everything is still relaxed. We've had a good night's sleep and are still drawing on the positive energy from the previous day. While Torgit prepares our muesli, I do a bit of research on the island's lighthouses. - We are so impressed by the lighthouses of the last few days that we want to use our last three days on the island to explore the remaining lighthouses. So much for the plan. - But just as we're sitting in the van with our muesli in hand, Ilona comes to visit us. - The finca where her van is parked is not too far away.<\/p>\n

She tells us that Geronimo and she went shopping this morning. But this turned out to be more difficult than expected. After it became known that the first tests for Covid-19, the coronavirus, had also shown that it had now also arrived on the island, panic would probably break out. - Here, too, there would now be panic buying.<\/p>\n

After a moment's consideration, we decide not to take this lightly. We drive to the nearest supermarkets and realize that the panic has really set in. As relaxed and chilled out as the island was just a moment ago, the mood has suddenly changed. The tone is extremely aggressive.<\/p>\n

Water is the number one issue for us. - The first market has already run out of water. So Torgit and I split up. I drive to the next market. Just as I'm putting the last 5-liter canister into the shopping cart, Torgit calls me. She has just received a repeat delivery, which she has just bought up. - We get hold of oatmeal, muesli, milk, oat milk, a big bag of oranges, rice, lentils and beans. Ginger is also in the shopping cart. As befits a proper hamster purchase, we get hold of the last of the toilet paper.<\/p>\n

Then we set off for Ibiza. We want to check whether we can catch an earlier ferry. If there was a shutdown on Ibiza, we were not sure whether we would still be able to get off the island. - When we arrive on site, the counters have just closed. They open again at 17:00. When the time comes, a queue has already formed. The atmosphere here is also very tense. We are fifth in line and manage to rebook the ferry for tomorrow morning at 11:00 am.<\/p>\n

So fahren wir zum letzten Mal nach Benirras. Als wir Hector geparkt haben, stellen wir fest, dass uns unsere Au\u00dfendusche abhanden gekommen ist. Ob uns diese geklaut wurde oder aus der Sicherung gerissen wurde, ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Doch wie sagt das K\u00f6lsch? „Wat fott es, es fott“<\/p>\n

First we stow away our shopping. Some things have to be rearranged. The next few days will show what happens next. - But one thing seems certain, our days on the island seem to be numbered. But we definitely have to come back and explore the lighthouses.<\/p>\n

Now we head to the beach one last time. The sun has just set. - A sailing ship is moored in the bay, and the bongos sound through the bay again. - It's time to say goodbye. - The mood is subdued. - We'll have to see how we get around to blogging over the next few days. - But we'll be back, no question.<\/p>\n
